What began as EAC Directory in 2005 has grown into one of the country’s leading hosting and domain providers under the HostAfrica umbrella. Two decades ago, Kenya’s digital economy was in its infancy, with internet penetration below 10%. Today, with over 90% penetration and a thriving startup ecosystem, HostAfrica has been part of this transformation, helping thousands of entrepreneurs, SMEs, and corporates scale their digital presence.
From EAC Directory to HostAfrica EAC
Founded in 2005, EAC Directory quickly became a trusted partner in Kenya’s digital space. Its strong track record made it a natural fit for HostAfrica, which had expanded into Nigeria in 2021 through the acquisition of DomainKing before setting its sights on East Africa. This journey led to the acquisition of EAC Directory in 2022 and, by 2024, the rebrand to HOSTAFRICA EAC LIMITED, with Kenya as its flagship hub, uniting local expertise with a bold pan-African vision.

- deepAfrica’s Hosting Assets (2024): Including HostPoa and Jijihost, further expanding operations and reinforcing service offerings.
